Summarizzit - Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement to Terms

By using Summarizzit ("the App"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. This is an agreement between you and the App developer, not Reddit. Reddit has no liability for this App.

2. Description of Service

Summarizzit is a Reddit app that generates AI-powered summaries of Reddit posts and their comments. The service includes:

• Free Tier: 10 summaries per month, analyzing up to 25 comments per post
• Pro Tier: $2/month (200 Reddit Gold), unlimited summaries

Summaries are generated using AI models including Google Gemini, OpenAI GPT, and Perplexity AI.

3. User Requirements

To use Summarizzit, you must:

• Have a valid Reddit account
• Comply with Reddit's User Agreement and Developer Terms
• Be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction)
• Provide valid payment information for Pro features (via Reddit Gold)

4. Payments & Subscriptions

• Pricing: Pro subscription costs $2 USD per month (200 Reddit Gold)
• Payment Processing: All payments are processed through Reddit's platform. We do not directly handle your payment information
• Billing: Pro subscriptions are billed monthly. Your subscription continues until cancelled
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through Reddit's settings
• Refunds: Refund requests must be made through Reddit's support system within 7 days of purchase

5. Usage Limits & Fair Use

• Free users are limited to 10 summaries per calendar month
• Pro users have unlimited summaries, subject to fair use policies
• We reserve the right to impose reasonable rate limits to prevent abuse
• Summaries are limited to posts with up to 25 comments analyzed

6. Data Collection & Use

When you use Summarizzit, we collect and process:

• Your Reddit user ID (for quota tracking and payment verification)
• URLs of posts you request to summarize
• Post titles, content, and comments (sent to AI providers for summarization)
• Usage metrics (number of summaries generated, API costs, success/error rates)
• Payment status (via Reddit's payment API)

We do NOT collect:

• Your password or authentication credentials
• Personal payment information (handled by Reddit)
• Your browsing history outside the app

7. Third-Party Services

Summarizzit uses the following third-party AI services to generate summaries:

• Google Gemini AI
• OpenAI GPT models
• Perplexity AI

Post content and comments are sent to these services for processing. These providers have their own privacy policies and terms of service.

8. Intellectual Property

• Reddit owns all Reddit data (posts, comments, user content)
• Original post authors retain rights to their content
• AI-generated summaries are considered derivative works
• You may use summaries for personal, non-commercial purposes
• The Summarizzit name, logo, and app code are owned by the developer

9. Disclaimers & Limitations

Accuracy: Summaries are generated by AI and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. We do not guarantee the correctness of any summary.

Availability: The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

• Inaccurate or misleading summaries
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Loss of data
• Third-party AI service failures

10. Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use Summarizzit to:

• Violate Reddit's rules or policies
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Scrape or collect data for commercial purposes
• Circumvent usage limits or payment requirements
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the app's code
• Use summaries to create misleading or false content

11. Termination

• You may stop using the App at any time
• We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms
• Upon termination, your Pro subscription will be cancelled
• Cached summaries may be retained for up to 30 days

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Changes to Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the App at any time, including:

• Pricing and subscription plans
• Usage limits and quotas
• Features and functionality
• AI models used for summarization

14. Relationship with Reddit

Summarizzit is an independent third-party app built on Reddit's Developer Platform. Reddit, Inc. is not responsible for the App's functionality, content, or any claims related to its use. Any disputes are solely between you and the App developer.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your Country/State], without regard to conflict of law principles.
